HISTORY
Founded in the early 1940’s in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Pulverman has supplied local businesses and industries with custom-fabricated metal products for over 70 years.
In 1999, Randy Mark purchased Pulverman, W.E., from Marvin Carkhuff. At that time, Pulverman employed eight people and had annual revenues of around $500,000. A shift in focus to contract manufacturing, combined with assembling an experienced group of managers, engineers and technicians, positioned Pulverman for rapid growth. By 2020, employed over 185 employees with revenues approaching $40 million.
On January 1st, 2022, Randy Mark sold Pulverman to the Modineer Company, a leading manufacturer and fabricator of low to medium volume complex metal components and assemblies for the automotive, military, truck/trailer and industrial markets. Headquartered in Niles, Michigan, Modineer manufactures more than 50 million components per year, has over 1,200 employees and operates from 14 facilities with combined square footage in excess of 1.5 million square feet across Michigan, Indiana, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, New Mexico, Juarez, Mexico and now Pennsylvania.
Modineer-Pulverman’s 105,000 sq. ft., state-of-the-art facility, located in Dallas, Pennsylvania, has been designed for maximum product flow and efficiency. Dedicated work cells ensure that production needs are met and that product quality is assured. The facility provides Modineer with a strategic geographical location to better serve customers in the Lehigh Valley, New Jersey and Philadelphia areas.
